What finishes are available?
We offer a vast range of finishes and colour combinations to add stylish, contemporary planting to your scheme.
Finishes:
Textured Matt:
The original classic finish! We texture the surface with a soft ripple effect by applying a generous coating of coloured gel. This coating is the same, approved, marine grade coating use for building boats. This is the hardiest, longest lasting finish we offer. It is highly resistant to wear and tear and casual knocks. The coating is jam packed with protective UV filtration properties so colour fade for planters in sunny spots are a thing of the past! If we don?t have the colour you require, let us know, we can match most RAL colours.
Smooth Range:
To achieve the smoothest finish, we apply the very best British made paint, using the most up to date technology at a professional Bodyshop. This finish is perfectly smooth and includes three subtle variations:
Smooth Matt: Non reflective surface that absorbs light. Doesn’t sheen or shine.
Smooth Satin: Reflects some light. Has more of a shine that Matt, but less than Gloss. It’s a happy medium between the other two finishes.
Smooth Gloss: Reflects most light. Has a high shine finish. You can easily see reflections of surrounding objects.
Polished Pearl & Shimmer Range:
Vibrant colours, with hints of sparkle and almost 3D depth. These are unique, statement piece finishes.
Polished Metallic Range:
We offer a range of shiny metallic imitation metal finishes that are indistinguishable from the real thing!
Textured Metallic Range:
Very similar to our polished metallic range with less shine and our trademark rippled textured finish.
Premium Patina Range:
We offer a range of finishes that give you an immediate aged patina look that would ordinarily take years to develop. This range includes the glorious blue/ green colour of aged copper.
Premium Stone Range:
This finish is nothing short of magic! We offer a range of finishes that use REAL aggregate stone that is directly applied to a planter. This finish gives the look, pigmentation, and texture of a real stone finish as a fraction of the cost and weight!
Dappled Finish Range:
Multicolour, psychedelic, patterned finish. The planter is coated with a clear lacquer which gives an additional sheen and a hardier finish.
Vintage Metals Range:
Can’t afford a solid gold planter? Neither can we. That?s why we offer a range of planters finished in imitation precious metals. Finished with like for like sheen to that of the real thing. Precious Metal finished are a satin-like finish.
How will my order arrive?
We have a trusted network of nationwide pallet and parcel couriers. Larger sized planters or orders with larger quantities will arrive via a pallet courier, and smaller sized orders will arrive via one of our parcel courier partners. All deliveries are fully tracked. Lead time is currently 3 to 4 week – please enquire if you require a shorter lead time.
Can the Fibreglass Trough Planter be used Indoors as well?
Yes! They are suitable for domestic, commercial, indoor and outdoor use.
How do i maintain it?
Fibreglass planters are very low maintenance but we recommend that all planters of this material are cleaned at least twice a year. Some cleaners may damage or adversely affect the material and finish. Do not clean with steel wool, sand paper, solvents or any other abrasive materials. Cleaning with solvent based cleaners and/ or pressure washer can also cause damage.
Other things to note
Please note all these finishes have not only the look but also behave like the real material, weathering naturally if outdoors.
However, the surfaces will mark clothes if brushed against so use indoors only in low footfall areas. Rust can be matt lacquered to avoid this problem on request.
All dimensions are in millimetres and in Length x Width x Height format. For example, the planter option 2000 x 500 x 600 is 2000mm long, 500mm Wide and 600mm high.
