If you’re after a stealthier and meaner look, this grille is definitely the way forward. The carbon fibre grille is a direct replacement for the aluminium looking Mercedes part, giving a sharp and striking carbon weave that really pops in the sunlight.
After having very good success with the A45 grille we thought it was about time we create one for the CLA45 too. We have however done something a bit different this time and laid the carbon up in a Herringbone pattern. This type of weave pattern is normally seen on hypercars with large carbon parts that span over the centre line of the vehicle, it gives great symmetry and looks extremely exotic and rare. The Herringbone style is also quite fitting too with the Mercedes pointed star (silver arrows).
This carbon grille is made from 100% autoclaved – prepreg carbon fibre, you simply cannot make carbon fibre to a lighter stronger or better standard than this. Once the part has been produced and trimmed it is then finished in a high gloss lacquer to protect from the elements. Like every part we produce, it goes through final check before being polished and sealed with a very high content carnauba wax from our partners Race Glaze.
Fitment is straightforward and once the original piece is taken off, the carbon grille slides simply back in place and is secured with a sealant that comes with the grille.
