The Worm Gear Winches Are More Safe Than The Spur Gear Winches, Due To The Fact That 50% Of The Braking Is Done By The Friction Loss In The Transmission. Subsequently, The Load On The Pressure Brake Is Greatly Reduced. Due To The Higher Friction Loss In The Transmission, The Worm Gear Winches Have A Lower Performance Efficiency Than The Spur Gear Winches. The Winches Have A Static Safety Factor OfåÊ Minimum 4.
