If you are intending to use our Mortice Door Knobs in conjunction with a existing Rim Lock, its more than likely that you will need an extra long mortice bar. Most mortice bars are around 100mm long and this is more than sufficient to pass through a regular door and have enough either side to secure the knobs in place, with the addition of a rim lock this could increase the thickness by more than 30mm, therefore we would recommend on of our M8 140mm bars. If you wish to use one of our mortice door knobsåÊon a slave door, such as a French door, or a cupboard door that has a roller or ball catch, we would recommend using one of our Taylor’s Spindles.The bar square in construction with 50mm of thread on either end.
