Emerald and Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1920. Set with an unusual oval cut emerald in a fresh, summery shade of slightly bluish green, within a border of antique cushion-shaped diamonds, this classic early 20 th century cluster ring is delicately mounted in white gold but sits on a fine yellow gold band. The birthstone of May, emeralds owe their green to the element chromium, but show a range of tones, from deepest forest green to fresh, almost citrussy tones. With a particularly attractive light yet intensely saturated emerald at its centre, this ring will sit beautifully alone, or alongside a wedding ring, and will add a pop of summery colour to any outfit.
