£9,500.00

Ruby and diamond ring, circa 1890. Three-stone rings were a popular design of the Victorian era, and were used to showcase a wide range of coloured stones. This beautiful example is set with a trio of fiery rubies, each very well cut, and of excellent transparency to show off their deep red hues. Rubies are often known as ‘the King of Gemstones’, as good quality rubies are particularly rare and highly prized for their beauty, commanding the highest prices of all coloured stones as a result. With a warm yellow gold mount with scrolled galleries (another hallmark of this classic Victorian design) and antique circular-cut diamond accents, this is a wonderful antique ruby ring which will bring character and beauty to any jewellery collection or the perfect engagement ring.

Why we love it…

Set with three incredible rubies, this ring is amazing quality. The colours are stunning and so vivid and I love the patina on the mount, a true Victorian masterpiece
